A one-carat diamond ring typically costs around $6,000. However, the price can vary depending on the quality of the diamond. Some diamonds are rare and therefore more expensive than others.

Many couples today are opting for custom rings, something different to reflect the couple's style. It could be a variation in stones chosen, settings, band or all three. A custom ring from EG Bespoke Ltd ranges in price from $2,000 to $7,000 and up.

Yes, an engagement ring can be anything you want it to be. There are no exact ring rules or regulations about what an engagement or wedding ring has to look like.

So, if you have a unique style or want to stand out from the crowd, you can definitely choose a ring design that reflects your personality and taste. Consider starting with loose diamonds and then choosing your setting.

What is a rosecut diamond?

A rosecut diamond is a diamond that has been cut in a specific way in order to preserve the maximum amount of its carat weight. The term is often used to describe diamonds that have been cut into an emerald or princess cut.

What makes a rosecut diamond so special is the fact that it retains more of its original weight than a traditional diamond, which means that you get more bang for your buck. In other words, you don't have to compromise on size when you purchase a rosecut diamond.

We have many rosecut diamonds for you to view here.

What does milgrain mean in jewelry?

Milgrain is a decorative edge on jewelry that is made up of very small beads. It can be applied to the surface of a piece of jewelry by either stamping or injecting it into the metal. It got its name from the French word "mille" which means thousand. The milgrain look gives jewelry a more vintage or antique look.

See the milgrain finish on some our heirloom quality rings here.

Can I propose with a moissanite ring?

Yes absolutely! Moissanite is lab-created and has a very small environmental impact, so it is a very responsible choice for a beautiful engagement ring.

Moissanite engagement rings are very durable and suitable for daily wear. It will last many years without any degradation. Moissanite scores 9.25 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness, compared with diamond, the hardest known mineral that scores a 10 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness.

It is important to choose an ethical jeweler who uses responsibly sourced stones, like moissanite, or other lab diamonds for your custom engagement ring. Thank you for considering a more sustainable option for your big day!

What is the prettiest diamond?

There isn't a definitive answer to this question since beauty is subjective.

However, many experts believe that the prettiest diamonds are those with excellent symmetry and 24-faceted round cut stones.

When it comes to color, the most desirable diamonds are usually white or colorless. Generally speaking, the more transparent and colorless a diamond is, the more valuable it is.

There are also "fancy" colors like pink, blue, yellow, champagne and black, some of which are extremely rare and highly coveted.

Whatever your preferences may be, there is sure to be a diamond out there that appeals to you!

How many carats should an engagement ring be?

There is no hard and fast answer to this question as carat weight is a matter of personal preference. Ultimately, it comes down to what the bride-to-be wants and what her fiancé can afford.

That being said, it's generally recommended that an engagement ring should have at least a 1/2 carat weight diamond or gemstone. This way, you know that you're getting a quality stone that will be sure to dazzle on your finger.

Size does or does not matter, it's up to the individual.  Check out our 'look book' to see a catalogue of our work, you'll soon see the dazzle and size rarely matters.  CHECK OUR CUSTOM LOOK BOOK HERE.

How many rings should a woman wear?

Only as many as she can fit on her fingers! Ha, Ha. Just kidding.

Seriously though, it really varies depending on the woman's style. If you're a more traditional lady, then you probably want to stick to just one or two rings. But if you're a bit more daring and fashion-forward, then you can go as high as four or five.

Personally, I think three is a nice happy medium - it looks good without being too excessive. But at the end of the day, it's really up to you and what you feel comfortable with!

My preference is to go for quality, not quantity. And if you have several rings that each share a memory, change them up often.

Can I just wear my engagement ring as my wedding ring?

Many couples are indeed choosing to wear just their engagement rings as their wedding rings, and there’s nothing wrong with that! If you feel your engagement ring is the perfect representation of your relationship, then go ahead and wear it as your wedding ring too.  It can be presented at your wedding ceremony as it was during your engagement, to represent the commitment of your love to each other.

In tradition, engagement and wedding rings represent a special symbol of your love and commitment to each other, so it’s understandable and has been most common to wear both rings together as a wedding set. A lot of times couples will purchase matching wedding bands to compliment or complete the engagement ring.

We have a wide selection of custom rings you will love to wear as your wedding ring.   CHECK OUR READY MADE SELECTION HERE

What is the difference between a wedding ring and band?

Today, the two terms are used interchangeably in many cases.

Traditionally, a wedding ring is a type of ring that is made of gold, platinum, or another precious metal, and it is often decorated with diamonds or other gems.

Wedding bands, on the other hand, is a type of ring that is typically made of gold, platinum, or another precious metal, without any gemstones or other decorations.

Is a 2 carat diamond considered too big?

No, a 2 carat diamond is not considered too big.

Many people think that 1-carat diamonds are too small and prefer 2-carat diamonds or larger.

While each person's opinion may vary, there is no denying that a 2-carat diamond engagement ring is a statement piece that will turn heads.

If you love large and sparkly things, like diamond jewellery, then go for it! Just be sure to pick a setting that compliments the size of the diamond, like a solitaire or minimalistic setting.

Whatever you do, don't let anyone tell you that your diamond is too big - it's your ring and you should love it!

Should couples pick out engagement rings together?

There's no right or wrong answer to this question - it's entirely up to the couple! Some couples feel that picking out an engagement ring and wedding band together is a special way to start their journey towards marriage, while others prefer the element of surprise. Ultimately, it's whatever works best for you and your fiancée.

If you do decide to pick out your engagement ring together, it can be a really fun and memorable experience. You'll get to try on lots of different styles and see what looks best on your finger. Plus, you'll be able to ensure that the ring is within your budget and exactly what you want.
